When i started bitstripping, i wished for lots of pre-defined items - cars, trucks, boats, planes, spaceships, etc. but if we had that, we would never have seen technutz's airplane, forsythe's spaceship, wireless's car, fortunalee's scenes, or any of the many other brillant inventions of this talented group.
so i've changed my mind. to me, the two most enjoyable parts of bitstrips are figuring how to make something out of available parts, and figuring out how others have done the same.
now my list of wishes is different. more tools, not more finished objects. hair - goatees, soul patches, receding hairlines. Clothes - long dresses. people - more head shapes, babies, old men. Scenes - copy any panel into a scene. make all items in scene at infinity, so any new object is in front. view - allow supressng bitstrips i've already seen, so i can see additions to a series without skipping many to get there, and without viewing them backwards, which spoils the story. make it easier to get to the start of a series without a lot of clicking all over.
a few more - Once an object is selected, allow tiny movements with the 4 arrow keys. Allow an object to be selected and sent to rear or sent to front of other objects.
friends - any comments? - jas

Yes! I'm not the only person dreaming of simple geometric objects! We can build anything with those!!

Good one, Annie! That would solve a lot of issues! How about a character puppet control! It would be like working with claymation!

I like all the suggestions, and wuold like to add one more. It would be nice to be able to move the arms separtely.

An object builder would be awesome. Simple objects (square, circle) that are malleable (Make a parallelogram, ellipse) + a way to link them together and shade/color... I'd be in heaven. Oh, and let walk/run poses have all the arm settings of the sit/stand ones.

Lots of great suggestions - nudging with arrow keys should be in soon, I know Dorian's hammering out some bugs with it. We'll be posting more info soon about the new update, as well as plans for future updates (try to get some features and dates down so you know what's coming). Hope that's not too much of a tease!

Skipping the quick comic-builder for the full builder will be in the next version, it'll auto skip for you if you've skipped it a couple times (+ be an account setting)

Yes agreed. I would like a simple default setting to go into advanced mode rather than starting in easy mode every time. Once you get it, one hardly uses easy mode anymore. Easy mode is great for the beginner. Let us start building in the mode of our choice. :) @Jas: Nice job by the way.

Oh yes... select and send to rear would be lovely! Also like "velcro" suggestion of assembling an object and have it stay together. One more from me - allow text bubbles to become mere shapes, so they can moved to the background. So annoying they *always* have to be up front.

I like the suggestions.. the fine tuning would be great. the text bubbles selection area could be smaller-... evertime I have a few of them close together, adjusting them SUCKS! multi-object selection/copy would be great! please fix the editor too... the remixing of text objects is so whacked!

I'd like to see bodies that bend at the waist, and more flexible hands and arms. Otherwise, I like being forced to invent.

I'm honored you'd mention my ship, good sir. I would love any toys that come out, but also believe in the merits of working within the limitations given. That said, clothing, basic geometric shapes with maybe some texture controls would be cool. Also, some more "hero" friendly movements in lieu of some better frontal perspectives.. I also want a guitar, but that's just me. Great suggestions , BTW!

I agree completely with with everything listed above. I would like to see at least a couple of animals or an easier way to make a dog, cat, cow, horse etc.

You covered most of it. I would add 2 ideas. 1 - a grouping option so if I create an item I can keep them grouped together. 2 - If I use an item like a hockey puck, it blends with the dark color, therefore it cannot be white.

Amen. Kudos to the creative ones. To the not-so-creative ones like me, it would help to have a few more tools at our disposal. How about using the tab key to cycle selection of objects. Trying to fine tune a strip takes ages of randomly clicking near an object to try and select it...or am I doing something wrong?
