you've heard the childhood expression 'step on a crack, break your mother's back..."
i was always perplexed by that statement.
let's start with 'crack'. what are the attributes of a crack?
what exactly qualifies it to be a crack? what about a crevice? a seam? an imperfection in the cement? do those count?
there's been a crack in our foundation right here for years? i'm stepping on it now...
or is it a seam? it could just be a contractor error and wouldn't be affecting anyone actually because it's not really...
