You don't want to annoy someone who, A) is usually the strongest one in the band due to the demands of the instrument and B) is behind you all night where you can't see him. Also, friends will do a lot of things for each other but removing drum sticks is the job of a professional!

And just a brief note: I haven't played with Tim in literally decades and have played with countless drummers, some really good, some not so much...but Tim was the ONLY one who had professional cases for his equipment. Not sure why I point that out considering what has just transpired! lol!
